In 1974 Kathleen McManus began her career as a Registered Nurse in Chicago Illinois and has had the good fortune to work for many different healthcare organizations providing direct care, developing programs, conducting research, teaching and managing small and large organizations.  Upon moving to Southern Michigan, she worked for the Michigan Department of Community Health developing statewide clinic models and conducting research. Returning to Traverse City in 1983 was a challenge and McManus  worked as an independent contractor for 9 organizations and the Traverse City Osteopathic Hospital (TCOH). Kathleen was serving as Vice President of that TCOH during the purchase by Mercy Health.   She transitioned to Munson in various positions and eventually Munson Healthcare, building regional relationships, and retired as COO of Munson Medical Center.

After studying registered nursing at Northwestern Michigan College, Kathleen graduated with both a Bachelors and Masters degree from Central Michigan University.  She is married to David and they have two grown children – Patrick and Shannon.
